Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with experience in DevOps as a Service to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about creating reusable platforms that empower developers and possess expertise in Terraform, pipeline automation, Ansible, and Azure DevOps, we want to hear from you! As a Platform Engineer (DevOps as a Service), you will play a crucial role in architecting, building, and maintaining a reusable platform that is easily consumable by our development teams. Your expertise in DevOps practices and tools, including Terraform, pipeline automation, Ansible, and Azure DevOps, will be essential in creating a seamless and efficient development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain a scalable and reusable platform that accelerates the software development and deployment process for our development teams.
DevOps as a Service: Provide DevOps services to internal development teams, offering support, best practices, and automation solutions for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and application deployments.
Infrastructure Automation: Utilize Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, ensuring consistency and reliability across environments.
CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to streamline the software delivery process, including code integration, testing, and deployment.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with development efforts.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the platform, ensuring that best practices and standards are well-documented and shared with the development teams.
Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the platform's performance, availability, and security. Continuously optimize and fine-tune the platform for enhanced efficiency.
Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps and cloud technologies and trends, and incorporate new tools and methodologies to improve platform efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in DevOps practices and the development of reusable DevOps platforms.
Strong expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and Ansible for configuration management.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
