Robert Half Software Engineer in Jacksonville, Florida
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer in the Credit Union industry, based in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing applications and backend processes using a variety of technologies. The successful candidate will be a part of a dynamic team using Agile methodology, creating software solutions for a range of tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Technical Delivery Manager, Business Analyst, and the Agile team on proof of concepts, industrialization of the concepts, and the delivery of the concepts in a digital framework
• Design and develop enterprise applications using modern technologies like React.js, C#, .NET 6 and later, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Server, and more
• Design and develop business applications and system solutions, including test plans, unit testing, safety and soundness testing, regression testing, and system integration testing
• Document all necessary aspects of applications and processes for maintenance, transition, and governance needs
• Participate in ideation, vendor evaluation, and research work, keeping abreast of new technologies and trends
• Support and restore functionality to in-house developed applications
• Work flexibly to perform other duties and projects as assigned
• Utilize excellent team player and collaborator skills to breakdown requirements into detailed tasks for software development and implementation using the Agile process
• Leverage skills in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS, C Sharp Programming (C#), .NET, React.js, and more. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience working as a Software Engineer, preferably within the Credit Union industry.
• Proficiency in C++ programming language.
• Experience with Apache Struts, Hibernate ORM, and EO/IR systems.
• Demonstrable skills in API development and database management.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as Ajax, ASP.NET, CSS, and React.js.
• Familiarity with AB Testing methodologies.
• Deep understanding of .NET and C Sharp Programming (C#).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the specified location.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
