Description
We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is a short term contract employment opportunity that incorporates various responsibilities in the accounting sector, particularly related to government contracting. The position is completely remote.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the process of account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation
• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and present financial data effectively
• Implement and maintain financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit information
• Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
Requirements
• Extensive experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in maintaining general ledger and preparing journal entries
• Advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Experience in month end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and provide insights
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Must have experience working for a government contractor
