Description
Join our clients' growing medical benefits company as a Staff Accountant in Jacksonville, FL! In this role, you will work on-site for the first 90 days before transitioning to a hybrid schedule. You'll be an integral part of our team and help in all aspects of day-to-day accounting, work closely with department heads to ensure accurate reporting and play a vital role in the timely preparation of financial statements.
We're seeking a candidate who can bring:
2+ years experience as a Staff Accountant or similar.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or something similar. (No bachelors? Additional work experience can be considered instead.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software, preferably SAGE + Quickbooks
Experience in the healthcare industry (strongly preferred, but not required.)
Ability to be adaptable, have a start-up mentality and be interested in an opportunity that offers room for growth.

Requirements
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
Solid understanding of General Ledger management
Ability to create and manage Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close Procedures
Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations
Proficiency in the use of Accounting software - preferably SAGE and QuickBooks
Experience with Dynamics GP software is beneficial
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
