Description

We are seeking a meticulous Procurement Analyst to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for executing procurement processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and being accountable for cost management. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans to support procurement goals.

• Manage Request for Quotations (RFQs) and negotiate prices to ensure a smooth procurement process.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage their performances.

• Monitor delivery assurance to identify shortages early and manage escalated situations when they occur.

• Liaise between Supply Chain and other functional teams such as Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Operations, reporting on order status, changes, or cancellations.

• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices.

• Participate in problem-solving activities to identify root causes that impact on-time delivery and quality.

• Manage Purchase Orders and ensure their timely delivery.

• Use SAP and other relevant software to perform duties effectively.

• May manage small projects or processes related to procurement.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in office functions and operations

• Experience in accounts payable (AP) and invoicing

• Proven ability in planning and executing purchasing strategies

• Knowledge of procurement and buying processes

• Ability to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers

• Familiarity with engineering specifications and quality standards

• Proficiency in creating and managing purchase orders

• Experience in supply chain management and logistics

• Ability to resolve issues and maintain quality in deliveries

• Strong skills in liaison and negotiation with suppliers

• Understanding of financial notes and their implications on purchasing

• Ability to provide workstation support when necessary

• Experience in using ASP - Active Server Page

• Familiarity with quotations, agreements, and pricing structures

• Proven ability in training staff on purchasing processes and standards.
