Robert Half Data Entry Clerk in Jamaica, New York
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in Jamaica, New York. In this role, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities, including maintaining and processing data, ensuring accuracy in records and resolving any discrepancies. This role is integral to our operations, and we seek someone with a keen eye for detail and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately input and process data related to customer orders and records
• Ensure all customer records are maintained and updated regularly
• Swiftly respond to and resolve any customer inquiries or issues
• Compare and reconcile various documents such as sign-in sheets, timesheets, and certified payroll
• Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely submission of field time data
• Learn and adapt to new software tools as required for the role
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks
• Review and match purchase orders to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in using data entry software and tools
• Ability to type fast and accurately
• Familiarity with office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners
• Basic understanding of databases
• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and ability to spot data discrepancies
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
• Previous experience as a data entry clerk or similar position will be considered an advantage.
