Robert Half Intake Coordinator in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an HR Generalist, primarily with responsibilities in the education industry, based in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. This role involves a variety of HR duties and places a particular emphasis on Receptionist Duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing, coordinating, and implementing various HR programs and procedures for company personnel.

• Participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

• Administering compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.

• Identifying staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.

• Allocating human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.

• Serving as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.

• Performing difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.

• Advising managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.

• Analyzing and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

• Conducting exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.

• Engaging in Receptionist Duties, including answering phone calls, managing appointments, and providing information to callers. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required.

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist in the education industry.

• Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.).

• Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.

• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus.

• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.

• Strong ethics and reliability.

• Experience with receptionist duties.
