Robert Half Assistant Controller in Jupiter, Florida

Description

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team located in Jupiter, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions in the engineering industry. Your duties will include preparing and consolidating financial statements, managing the general ledger, and coordinating budget processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements accurately and in a timely manner

• Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS

• Manage all aspects of the General Ledger and ensure its accuracy

• Coordinate the budget process and contribute to budget planning

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses to assess the company's financial performance

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP for efficient financial management

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Conduct auditing processes to identify and rectify discrepancies

• Perform month-end close processes meticulously

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

Skills:

• Knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Auditing

• Experience with Budget Processes and Financial Statement Preparation

• Familiarity with General Ledger management and Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of GAAP Accounting and Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Experience with Deltek, NetSuite, and SAP.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required

• Demonstrable experience in Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills are necessary

• Experience with Budget Processes is needed

• Knowledge of Deltek, Netsuite or SAP software would be advantageous

• Capable of performing Month End Close tasks

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is essential

• Proficiency in managing General Ledger

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting is necessary

• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting is preferred
