Robert Half SCADA Systems Analyst in Jupiter, Florida
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a SCADA Systems Analyst in the government sector, based in Jupiter, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis and categorization of data, providing assistance and interpretation to others, and operating complex machinery and tools. This role also requires verbal and mathematical aptitude, functional reasoning, and situational reasoning.
Responsibilities:
• Review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and analyze data in accordance with established standards
• Provide guidance, assistance, and interpretation to others regarding the application of procedures and standards
• Operate and control complex machinery, tools, and materials, requiring rapid adjustments
• Utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, and advisory data and information
• Perform mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, discount, interest, ratios, surface areas, volumes, weights, and measures
• Apply principles of rational systems and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
• Exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards to meet variations in assigned objectives
• Exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in situations involving evaluation of information against measurable or verifiable criteria.
• Handle tasks that require the ability to exert moderate physical effort in light work, potentially involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Handle tasks that may require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, taste, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals
• Handle tasks that may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, rain, humidity, temperature extremes, electric currents, or difficult customers. Requirements • Proven experience in the Government sector as a SCADA Systems Analyst or a similar role
• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira, Cloud Technologies, and Agile Scrum methodologies
• Expertise in creating and understanding Business Requirement Documents
• Familiarity with SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, JSON, XML, C++, Visual Basic (VB), and .NET
• Proficiency in SQL and batch scripting
• In-depth knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
• Experience with SQL Databases
• Practical experience with Waste Water Treatment Plants
• Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
