Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, your role will encompass managing and overseeing daily operations of the finance department, ensuring the accuracy of business transactions, and coordinating finance-related projects.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of the finance department and ensure the accuracy of all business transactions.
• Supervise assigned staff and maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
• Prepare monthly financial statements to assess the financial status of the organisation.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financially related aspects of the electronic health record.
• Coordinate the finance unit on projects such as overall budget implementation and year-end reporting.
• Process and handle customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records for future references and audits.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as required.
• Utilize your skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Billing Functions, and ADP - Payroll, bi-Monthly Payroll to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industries.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures.
• Experience in handling Billing Functions.
• Proficiency in ADP - Payroll.
• Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll processing.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with different teams within the organization.
