Robert Half Assistant Controller in Kaneohe, Hawaii

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Assistant Controller based on the Windward side. The role involves working collaboratively with the accounting staff, evaluating and refining policies and procedures, preparing semi-monthly payroll, coordinating with accounting staff and communities, and assisting with tax-related requests. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the accounting staff to meet department goals, objectives, and timelines.

• Evaluate, refine, and apply policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Prepare semi-monthly payroll for assigned facilities.

• Coordinate with accounting staff and communities to prepare and submit recredentialing applications as required by various payors.

• Assist with tax-related requests.

• Utilize various accounting software systems and ERP solutions to streamline processes.

• Oversee accounting functions including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Conduct auditing and manage budget processes using Great Plains (GPAC) and ADP - Financial Services.

• Apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in financial statement preparation and payroll.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role such as Assistant Controller or other relevant positions.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is necessary for maintaining financial records.

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is required for managing financial transactions.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed for efficient business process management.

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions is essential for managing and integrating the important parts of a business.

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is required for managing business operations.

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions is necessary for preparing financial statements and managing accounts.

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is needed for managing outgoing payments.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required for managing incoming payments.

• Experience in Auditing is essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial operations.

• Knowledge of Budget Processes is necessary for planning and managing the organization's finances.
