Robert Half Infrastructure Engineer in Kansas City, Missouri

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer in the manufacturing industry, located in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The role involves building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure using the latest technology, ensuring that all IT systems support the business function efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with strategic projects to manage and maintain infrastructure systems across various technology verticals such as Network, Storage, Compute, Virtualization, Telephone, Cloud Infrastructure, and Automation & Orchestration.

• Collaborate with vendors and other relevant IT teams to support enterprise applications and hardware.

• Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability.

• Expand and apply your knowledge of infrastructure-related security strategies and concepts to ensure systems meet or exceed standards.

• Assist in the evaluation of emerging technology solutions and increase individual technology skill proficiencies through continued education and training opportunities.

• Install, maintain, and monitor operating environments, responding effectively and quickly to any problems.

• Document all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response.

• Provide training and support while maintaining a professional demeanor with internal clients and colleagues.

• Develop and maintain your understanding of monitoring and alerting systems.

• Create support documentation for new or modified infrastructure systems. Requirements • Possess a strong understanding of Information - Network Security

• Experience in System Administration is required

• Proven knowledge of Cloud administration is essential

• Must be proficient in Desktop Virtualization

• Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues

• Proven ability to manage and maintain servers and networks

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
