Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls while also providing support on special requests when required
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Requirements - High attention to detail
Solid understanding of month end closings
Cash flow statements experience
Strong familiarity with fixed assets
Experience with Cash Flow Reports
Knowledge of Form 1099
Proven knowledge of journal entries
Well-founded grasp of general ledger
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Strong time management skills preferred
Efficient in ERP systems
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
