Description
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a team near Keene, New Hampshire. This role is crucial in a manufacturing environment, where you will be the senior finance person on site. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, with a primary focus on maintaining cost and inventory control, and implementing change management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Develop and implement efficient auditing processes
• Manage billing functions and maintain accurate customer credit records
• Drive inventory accounting and analysis initiatives to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Utilize Excel formulas for complex financial calculations and data management
• Execute standard cost accounting procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Implement change management strategies to improve operational efficiency
• Act as a self-starter, capable of managing projects and tasks independently
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to meet strict deadlines
• Maintain a strong understanding of public company experience and deadlines.
Requirements • Possess substantive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Hold experience in auditing and billing functions
• Exhibit proficiency in Cost Accounting and Standard Cost Accounting
• Demonstrate ability to use Excel formulas
• Experience with Inventory Accounting and Inventory Analysis is required
• Ability to effectively manage, guide, and lead a team of employees
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience in a managerial accounting role
• Certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are a plus
• Strong understanding of tax codes and laws
• High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work with tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
