Robert Half Credit and Collections Manager in Keene, New Hampshire

Description We are seeking a Credit and Collections Manager to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry based in Keene, New Hampshire. In this role, you will manage the collection of accounts receivable balances, coordinate with different teams, and maintain process documentation. You will also be responsible for leading a team of associates and managing the necessary information required for external audits.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the collection of accounts receivable balances

• Coordinate regularly with team members to troubleshoot short or non-payments and provide effective solutions

• Develop and execute strategic plans to minimize delinquency

• Monitor high-risk accounts proactively and escalate any potential financial exposure promptly to senior management

• Lead and manage a team of associates, fostering growth and development

• Coordinate and manage all necessary documentation and information required for external audits

• Maintain process documentation regularly to ensure efficient workflow

• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Reconcile and process adjustments for bad debt and accounts receivable balance sheet accounts

• Develop comprehensive reports for AR/Finance/Sales leadership on DSO, bad debt, high-risk accounts, and generate other ad-hoc analyses as per requirement. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is a must.

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in Excel is required.

  • Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, or SAP is highly preferred as the company is currently undergoing a system conversion from Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud.

  • The candidate should have good understanding of key accounting principles.

  • Strong leadership skills, aligned with the company's objectives and deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • A solid background in Credit Risk analysis, preferably in B2B settings, is expected.

  • Bilingual candidates with proficiency in Spanish will have an added advantage.

  • Prior experience as a credit and collections supervisor or in a managerial role is highly desirable.

  • The ability to work well under pressure, independently, and with a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
