Robert Half Paralegal in Kennesaw, Georgia

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Paralegal role in the education sector. The position is based in Kennesaw, Georgia, and will involve a variety of responsibilities related to conducting investigations, drafting reports, and maintaining detailed case records.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive investigations, gather and summarize evidence, and perform credibility analysis.

• Develop investigation plans and timelines, identify and interview parties and witnesses, and gather and analyze relevant evidence.

• Maintain detailed, accurate, and comprehensive records and notes related to all assigned case investigations.

• Facilitate informal resolutions between parties as appropriate.

• Work collaboratively with various departments such as Legal Affairs, Public Safety, and Student Affairs.

• Provide regular case status updates and briefings.

• Implement measures such as academic or employment arrangements, issuance of no contact orders, and other measures as directed.

• Educate and assist students and faculty with implementation of accommodation requests in accordance with Title IX as directed.

• Draft and disseminate official communication to parties regarding deadlines, procedures, and protocols.

• Assist in developing and facilitating discrimination and sexual misconduct prevention training for students, faculty, and staff as directed.

• Utilize skills in Claim Administration, EEOC, and Conduct Investigations for the effective execution of responsibilities. Requirements

• Possess a degree in Law or related field from an accredited institution

• Prior experience working as a Title IX coordinator, or investigator preferred

• Proficient in claim administration and conducting investigations

• Deep understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong research and report-writing abilities

• Proven ability to work independently and in a team

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in the use of legal research software and Microsoft Office suite

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Familiarity with the legal terminology and procedures used in an educational institution

• Capable of multitasking and working under pressure to meet deadlines.
