Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Kent, Washington
Description Robert Half is looking for an analytical and organized Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is ready to become an essential part in a team-oriented and rapidly-expanding company. This position is long-term contract / temporary. The Accounts Payable Clerk will update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, and match, batch, and code invoices. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Based out of the Kent, Washington area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.
Key responsibilities
Manage full-cycle A/P
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Perform special projects as assigned
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed Requirements - Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Adeptness in Invoice Processing
Account reconciliation experience
Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
Coding Invoices experience
Experience with data entry
Check Runs experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
