Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Construction Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in managing our financial operations to drive our business's success and growth. Your primary job will entail running accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts. If you're an excellent communicator with a knack for numerical accuracy, we'd like to meet you.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
Perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
Undertake and manage billing to meet project objectives and company policy.
Assist with project set-ups, project closeouts, and contract and change-order management.
Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management.
Manage and track construction project income and expenditure against the budget.
Qualifications:
Proven bookkeeping experience in the construction industry.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in using MS Excel.
Experience in using accounting software [e.g., QuickBooks].
An associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus.
