Robert Half Infrastructure Manager in Kent, Washington
Description
A client of ours at Robert Half is looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join their team in Kent, Washington. This will be a hybrid role (3 days a week on-site) after the initial training period that will be fully on-site. In this role, you will be responsible for IT planning, deployment, and administration of technology infrastructure. You will also supervise a team of 4 (2 Systems Administrator, 2 Network Engineers).
About the role:
Looking for more of a Lead/Supervisor or someone with early Management experience more so than someone who has been a manager for years.
This person will be in the weeds, doing project management, and also supervising the Infrastructure team.
Oversee user support, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the IT systems, including network, cloud, applications, databases, servers, storage, desktops, security, audio-visual, and all other IT infrastructure components; act as a technical resource.
Supervise, motivate, and evaluate IT staff; delegate tasks; provide technical and professional training; manage performance issues; and make recommendations on hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues; research, test, and identify problems; design and implement solutions to maintain infrastructure that supports operations.
Assess vendor proposals for technology solutions and services to ensure they meet technical specifications and business requirements.
Analyze business needs, develop requirements, and create plans and solutions to address their technology needs.
Follow standard practices to design, install, configure, test, support, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical system components.

Requirements
About the role:
Looking for more of a Lead/Supervisor or early Management experience more than someone who has been a manager for years
Will be in the weeds, doing project management, supervising the Infrastructure team, time cards, task delegation, etc.
Must haves:
5+ years of experience in IT planning, deployment, administration of technology infrastructure
5+ years of user support for Network, Voice, Cloud, Security, and server technologies
2+ years of experience in an IT Leadership role (flexible on manager or lead experience)
5+ years of experience in Desktop support
Nice to haves:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or similar
PMP certification
