Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager who specializes in vendor management within the retail industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our retail client's operational and contractual relationships with suppliers, ensuring that all projects stay on track, and meet quality, cost, and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, including schedules, scope, budgets, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate and oversee vendors to ensure products and services are delivered in line with contractual obligations.

  • Maintain consistent communication with vendors to build strong, reliable relationships.

  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure they comply with company standards and operational delivery.

  • Navigate and manage any contractual issues that may arise with vendors.

  • Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to maximize the value delivered to the client.

  • Deliver regular reports on project status to stakeholders, identifying any potential issues or risks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to drive project outcomes and enhance effectiveness.

  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget while also meeting quality standards.

The Contract Project Manager will be a key liaison between our retail client and suppliers, ensuring that all projects progress smoothly and meet pre-determined specifications. We are looking for a solutions-oriented professional who can handle complex project dynamics and drive high-quality outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally within retail and with significant vendor management components.

  • Proficiency in project management software tools e.g., MS Project.

  • Strong understanding of retail industry trends and contractual obligations.

  • Excellent vendor management skills, including experience working with diverse suppliers and stakeholders.

  • Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information succinctly.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • PMI or PMP certification is preferred.
