Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Kent, Washington

Description

You could be a good fit for this long-term contract / temporary Senior Financial Analyst opportunity! In this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role, you will be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will also be putting together schedule plans, time phase cost baselines, and constructing EACs. This Senior Financial Analyst will be placed at the Kent, Washington office.

How you will make an impact

  • You will be responsible for maintaining developing program schedules and EACS and maintaining those plans, conducting schedule 'what if' scenarios.

-Tracking performance vs plans or budget and going through a root cause analysis. Putting together corrective action plans based on results.

-You will be responsible for supporting the creation of integrated cost and schedule baselines in Primavera P6 and Deltek Cobra

-Solicit inputs on labor and non-labor resource requirements across your assigned IPTs to create time-phased resource plans.

-Supporting the development of Work Breakdowns Structures, establishing required charge numbers, and deriving control-account level budget plans within authorized values and periods of performance

-Tracking budgets/forecasts to actuals, performing variance analysis, updating forecasts, and monitoring and controlling actual costs

-Generating reports, actionable metrics, and key performance indicators to inform IPT leaders and influence future plan updates

Requirements

Mandatory Skills

-5+ years of experience in Program finance, program controls, earned value management group, cost control group or similar experience

-Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management or other highly analytical field

  • Experiences in roles requiring financial analysis, budget management or cost estimation in support of a government contract R& D or technology program

-Adherence to a monthly business rhythm of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, change control, and reporting (developing and implementing a business rhythm and reporting from scratch for mid-career to senior positions)

-Experience mining large data sets to uncover and formulate actionable information (Heavy excel users, tableau.)

Desired Skills

-Experience establishing new program baseline plans

-Proven record of hands-on development and implementation of company-wide process improvements (mid-career to senior positions)

-Broad/deep financial and business analytics experience supporting government or

-EVMS-required programs (customer or internally funded)

-IPMR customer deliverables on EVM-required contracts -P6, Deltek, COBRA, Empower, or other cost/schedule integration and analysis tool experience

-Experience in developing or maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) or detail IPT schedules

-Successful support of programs through DCMA/DCAA, joint site surveillance, or other government audits

-Proposal support including pricing for bids requiring certified pricing

-MBA, or Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager)
