Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a skilled Accountant II to join our team. This role involves analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports within the organization. You will be tasked with maintaining financial records, computing taxes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial information and prepare detailed reports on the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss.

• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare actual costs to budgeted costs.

• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.

• Develop, implement, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems.

• Use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as other related accounting software for various accounting tasks.

• Use strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to clients and team members.

• Apply accounting and mathematical principles to work tasks as needed.

• Analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.

• Use critical thinking skills to resolve complex financial issues and improve the organization's financial performance.

Requirements • Possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint

• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company policies

• Knowledge of budget processes and financial reporting

• Experience with 'About Time' and other accounting software systems

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks and cost analysis

• Understanding of financial regulations and principles to ensure compliance

• Experience in preparing financial statements and analyzing them

• Proficiency in handling expense reporting and tax related tasks

• Knowledge of accounting systems and computer programs related to the role

• Ability to manage financial statements and liabilities

• Strong written communication and critical thinking skills.
