Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The role involves working in a hybrid setting, with some days in the office and others from home. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of invoices and maintaining correspondence with vendors. This job function is within the financial services industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process and accurately code customer credit applications using various accounting software systems.

• Maintain and update customer credit records.

• Handle vendor communications, explaining payment schedules and resolving inquiries.

• Perform data entry tasks to ensure all invoices are recorded in the system.

• Regularly monitor and manage customer accounts, taking necessary action where required.

• Use ADP Financial Services and Concur for various financial operations.

• Utilize your skills in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for effective job function.

• Maintain regular contact with vendors and respond to their inquiries.

• Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.

• Accomplish tasks involving mailbox management and responding to inquiries.

Requirements

• Proficient in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is a must

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is required

• Familiarity with Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is beneficial

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) is essential

• Candidates should be comfortable with various accounting principles and practices

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
