Robert Half International PC Technician in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

Description If you can solve and communicate complex problems for both technical and non-technical users, Robert Half Technology is searching for someone like you to fill a PC Technician role in the Hi Tech Engineering industry. If you are self-motivated, a problem solver, and interested in a positive, dynamic environment, you could thrive in this role. As the PC Technician, you will work in the Seattle, Washington, region. This role is a short-term temporary opportunity.

What you get to do every day

  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

  • Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware

  • Own and execute technology implementation projects

  • Ensure sound electronic data records by adhering to company quality standards

  • Install and repair printers, troubleshooting problems as needed

  • Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site

  • Help test functionality and support end users

  • Image and prepare new computers

  • Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

  • Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

  • Communicate with ticket submitters effectively and on a regular basis

  • Keep track of equipment and collaborate on possible purchases

  • Break down, box and ship old equipment Requirements - Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required

  • Desktop Hardware experience

  • Workstation Hardware experience preferred

  • Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • CompTIA A+ certification mandatory

  • 1 - 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

  • Desired skills include an understanding of networking such as switching and routing

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
