Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our retail industry team located in Kingwood, Texas. The chosen candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to, month-end close procedures, maintaining journal entries, and conducting P& L reviews for multiple entities. This role is also responsible for minimal accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll entries, fixed asset maintenance, and conducting inventory audits.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end close procedures in a timely and effective manner

• Prepare and maintain journal entries and accruals

• Conduct P& L reviews for multiple entities and provide insights on the results

• Manage minimal Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and rectify any discrepancies

• Prepare payroll entries and ensure accuracy of payroll records

• Oversee fixed asset maintenance and ensure accurate record-keeping

• Conduct inventory audits and provide recommendations based on findings

• Use 'Account Reconciliation' skills to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years experience in accounting

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
