Description
A regional law firm in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in construction defect, catastrophic/personal injury, and general liability claims is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Washington office, located in Kirkland.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join this firm's Kirkland, WA office. The ideal candidate will have 6-9 years of relevant experience, preferably in civil litigation, with a focus on construction defect and insurance defense work. The ideal candidate will grow to be a pillar, leader, and potential partner at a busy regional firm.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough analysis and review of discovery materials
Handle depositions, motions, arbitrations, and jury trials
Collaborate with clients, insurance carriers, and industry experts to develop strategic resolution and trial strategies
Provide skilled counsel to clients in the construction industry and other businesses on contract development and disputes, entity selection, and diversity certification processes
Conduct legal research and provide well-written legal opinions and memoranda
Balance multiple tasks and cases effectively
Demonstrate excellent decision-making skills and judgment
Maintain a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients
Requirements
Minimum of 6 years of experience in litigation, with preferred 3 years in insurance defense matters
Experience in personal injury, construction defect, premises liability, insurance coverage, professional liability defense, and other general liability claims
Admission to the Washington State Bar
Proven legal research and writing skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously
Excellent decision-making skills and judgment
Strong work ethic and dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for clients
Proven ability to meet and exceed an 1800 billable hours per year requirement
Additional Information:
Compensation range: $140,000-$180,000, dependent on experience
Bonus structure tied to billable goal
This is an on-site position with work from home flexibility following onboarding
