Robert Half Staff Accountant in Kirkland, Washington

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Kirkland, Washington. This role operates within the industry and is focused on maintaining financial procedures and ensuring accuracy in accounting tasks. The workplace is a dynamic environment where you will process customer credit applications, maintain customer credit records, and resolve customer inquiries, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and credit cards, including setting up tax accounts

• Conduct bank reconciliations (Recons) and maintain accurate records

• Apply your understanding of debits and credits to perform accurate accounting tasks

• Allocate credit card transactions and link them into NetSuite

• Utilize your knowledge of taxes, including sales tax and payroll taxes, to manage and set up accounts

• Use various software, including NetSuite, Bill.com, Brex, Rippling (payroll), Avalara, and Excel for different accounting tasks

• Engage in General Ledger tasks and Journal Entries

• Execute Month End Close procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, with an ability to manage invoices, payments, and vendor relationships.

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.

• Demonstrated skills in performing bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.

• Knowledge of General Ledger management, including maintaining and updating financial records.

• Ability to prepare and record journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded accurately.

• Experience in managing month-end close procedures, including preparing financial statements and reports.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting operations and financial management.
