Description
We are searching for an experienced Tax Director to join our team in Kirkland, Washington. This role involves providing strategic tax advice to clients and staff, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing complex tax issues. The Tax Director will also oversee tax research initiatives across the firm and serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and review complex individual, corporate, trust, and estate tax returns
• Develop and implement effective tax solutions for clients through the tax consulting process
• Plan for complex transactions such as buy/sell agreements and mergers, ensuring tax efficiency
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors
• Lead firm-wide tax research initiatives and apply findings to client situations
• Manage inquiries from federal and state agencies regarding tax filings
• Provide training and mentorship to staff members, fostering a knowledgeable and capable team
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and provide strategic tax advice
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and stay updated on changes to tax laws, rules, and regulations
• Utilize skills in accounting, auditing, compliance, and documentation to ensure effective tax management.
The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000 + bonus.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions and Auditing
• Expertise in Annual Income Tax Provision
• Strong knowledge of Compliance and Documentation procedures
• Experience with Tax Compliance Processes and Tax Accounting
• Ability to handle Complex Tax Return, Individual Tax Return, and Corporate Tax Return
• Familiarity with Trust tax and Trust Tax Returns
• Understanding of Estate Tax and Estate Tax Return
• Experience in Tax Consulting
• Excellent Client Relations skills
