Description
We are seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. As a Bookkeeper, you will primarily handle the financial records of our clients. This includes duties such as billing and invoicing, posting payments, and conducting bank reconciliations. You will also be tasked with maintaining accounts payables, issuing checks, and investigating any discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the billing and invoicing of clients accurately and promptly.
• Post payments and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial records are accurate.
• Maintain accounts payables and issue checks as required.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist with the month-end close process to ensure all financial data is recorded.
• Prepare bank deposits and ensure they are made in a timely manner.
• Assist with system implementation and ensure a smooth transition.
• Utilize skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data.
• Regularly monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proficient in account reconciliation
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with month-end close processes
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
• Experience in posting payments and preparing bank deposits
• Knowledge of check runs and daily bank deposits
• Skilled in billing processes
• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies
