Robert Half Lead Payroll Specialist in Knoxville, Tennessee

Description

We are in search of a Lead Payroll Specialist in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role is integral to our team, primarily focused on managing and executing weekly payroll for a large team, acting as a liaison for payroll queries, and supporting special projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for both reconciliation and auditing of payroll deductions and will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic workplace in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of weekly payroll for a large team to ensure timely and accurate payment

• Act as a central point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries and provide solutions

• Train to backup bi-weekly and contract payroll specialists to ensure continuity of operations

• Perform daily reconciliation and auditing of payroll deductions to maintain accuracy

• Support the Payroll Manager in executing special projects as needed

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively for payroll processing and management

• Leverage skills in Workday HRIS and Workday Payroll to streamline payroll processes

• Maintain accurate account reconciliation and ensure all entries are up-to-date

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting purposes.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of one year of experience in a payroll specialist role or similar.

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for financial management purposes.

• Demonstrated experience in Auditing.

• Prior experience managing Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees.

• Skilled in using Workday HRIS and Workday Payroll systems.

• Experience in Daily Reconciliation and Account Reconciliation tasks.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

• Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
