Robert Half Patient Care Coordinator in Knoxville, Tennessee
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator in the healthcare industry in Knoxville, Tennessee. The successful candidate will be tasked with numerous responsibilities, including scheduling appointments, interacting with patients, and managing patient records. The role demands excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patients, especially the elderly.
Responsibilities: • Handle inbound calls from new and existing patients, addressing their inquiries promptly and effectively. • Schedule, manage, and update patient appointments efficiently. • Provide information and education to patients about our medical device products. • Conduct outbound follow-up calls to patients for reordering of supplies and scheduling future appointments. • Verify and ensure adherence to HIPPA regulations and guidelines in handling patient information. • Collect, validate, and submit insurance documents to the internal portal for insurance verification. • Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records by filing paperwork accurately and promptly. • Display a high degree of empathy and understanding when communicating with patients. • Coordinate schedules and maintain calendars efficiently. • Handle data entry tasks and manage electronic medical records effectively. For immediate consideration please contact: Kelly Fellows 865-370-2219 Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, with excellent customer service skills • Experience with authorizations in a healthcare setting • Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy • Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems • Ability to handle a high volume of outbound calls • Experience with handling cash and credit card payments • Proven ability to coordinate schedules and maintain calendars • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • High level of organization and multitasking abilities • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
