We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax and Audit Manager to join our team. As the Tax and Audit Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing our tax and audit departments. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our clients' financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and providing valuable insights to help clients make informed financial decisions.
Tax Planning and Compliance:
Lead and manage the tax department, overseeing tax return preparation and review for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure compliance and provide strategic tax planning advice to clients.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
Audit and Assurance:
Oversee and manage audit engagements for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
Review and analyze financial statements, internal controls, and audit findings to provide valuable insights to clients.
Mentor and train audit staff, fostering professional development within the department.
Collaborate with clients to understand their financial objectives and provide personalized solutions to meet their needs.
Identify opportunities to enhance client services and cross-sell other firm services such as consulting and advisory services.
Address client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of tax and audit professionals, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Ensure efficient workflow management, resource allocation, and timely project completion.
Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
Stay current with industry best practices and evolving accounting and auditing standards.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
