Description We are in search of a Controller to be an integral part of our team in the Wealth Management industry. This role is located in La Jolla, California and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Controller will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing billing processes, tracking and managing expenses, and developing budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and other relevant software
• Review billing processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies
• Track and manage expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes
• Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with management, providing insights and recommendations
• Work closely with external CPA firms for audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial processes
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance standards
• Assist in strategic financial planning and decision-making
• Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and auditors
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
