Robert Half Accounting Manager in La Mesa, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. The role is based in La Mesa, California, 91941, United States. The successful candidate will be in charge of various accounting functions, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications in an accurate and timely manner

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records

• Resolve any customer credit inquiries or issues efficiently

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments

• Manage the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions

• Perform regular auditing activities to ensure financial compliance

• Use AppFolio for property accounting and other related tasks

• Handle accounting functions for property management, including journal entries

• Ensure all accounting tasks align with the regulations of homeowner associations (HOAs)

• Manage property accounting functions using industry-specific accounting tools and software. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting managerial or supervisory role

• Proven expertise in handling Accounting Functions, including but not limited to, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated proficiency in Auditing practices and principles

• Skilled in using AppFolio software for property accounting

• Experience in Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry is essential

• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Property Accounting

• Excellent financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting skills

• Ability to lead a team, manage workloads and meet deadlines

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred

• Solid understanding of financial legislation and regulatory standards

• Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
