Description

This Senior Accountant role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. This Senior Accountant position requires top-notch analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

Requirements

  • Skilled at time management

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Efficient in ERP systems

  • Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Previous experience working with Prepare Financial Reports

  • Monthly Balance Sheet experience desired

  • Earlier work involving Monthly Financial Reporting

  • Adeptness in Month-end Reports

  • Solid understanding of Sage 100

  • Month-end Financial experience preferred

  • Financial Records experience highly preferred

  • Bank Account Reconciliation experience highly valued

  • Month end closings experience preferred

  • Hands-on experience with Prepare Trial Balance

  • Background working with financial reporting

  • Deep understanding of Month-end Close Activities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Account Reconciliation

  • Reconcile Balance Sheet Account experience preferred

  • Prior experience with Prepare Balance Sheets

  • Experience with trial balance

  • Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience highly desired

  • Good understanding of Monthly Financial Reports

  • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reviews

  • Balance sheets experience required

  • General familiarity with Annual Financial Reporting

  • Month-end Journal Entries experience

  • Comprehension of Profit Loss

  • Practical knowledge of financial reconciliation

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
