Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Accountant in La Puente, California. This role will involve a blend of accounting and administrative duties, with a focus on cost accounting. The candidate will be expected to manage a broad range of tasks, from data entry and customer service to more complex accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with cost accounting and administrative tasks
• Handle receptionist duties during the initial period of employment
• Utilize Excel and Outlook for various tasks and communications
• Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle phone inquiries
• Train under the current Cost Accountant for succession planning
• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions for various accounting tasks
• Handle both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
• Assist with auditing and budget processes as required
• Use Great Plains (GPAC) for various accounting functions Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Knowledge of ERP Solutions
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven experience in Auditing
• Understanding of Budget Processes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
