Robert Half Sr. Accountant in La Vista, Nebraska

Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Sr. Accountant at our workplace in La Vista, Nebraska, United States. This role is central to the functioning of our team in the finance industry, where you will be tasked with maintaining and processing financial information with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Enter deposits, invoices, checks, wire confirmations, and journal entries into the accounting software efficiently and accurately

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and monitor bank accounts on a daily basis

• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and complete account reconciliations in the accounting software

• Review and notify when sales tax can be filed and paid on a monthly basis

• Handle the processing of wires - sending from the bank account for deposits and final payments

• Work with a wide variety of people, demonstrating detail orientation

• Employ skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, QuickBooks for effective performance of duties. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the finance industry

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with QuickBooks software

• Demonstrable experience with account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger

• Capable of preparing and posting complex journal entries

• Experience in performing month end close processes accurately and timely

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred

• Demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial forecasting and diagnosis

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
