Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Ladson, South Carolina
Description We are looking for a proficient Sr. Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in Ladson, South Carolina. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be entrusted with tasks such as data entry, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our financial health.
Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial data into our ERP system
• Monitor and take necessary actions on the weekly report of aged receivables to maintain healthy cash flow
• Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and process billing adjustments and refunds to ensure smooth customer interaction
• Administer customer invoicing and create customer statements
• Check and process vendor invoices for payment
• Monitor aged payables report weekly to prevent past due accounts and manage cash flow
• Resolve vendor questions and complaints regarding payables to maintain a good credit score
• Review vendor statements and process vendor payments through various methods such as check, online vendor account, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card
• Oversee the processing of commission payments to sales representatives
• Maintain accurate financial information in the appropriate software programs and/or ERP system. Requirements
• Demonstrable experience in a Senior Accountant role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in managing General Ledger activities
• Proven skills in Financial Statement analysis and reporting
• Ability to prepare accurate Financial Statements adhering to industry standards
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferable.
