Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Lafayette, California. This role primarily involves auditing functions within a CPA firm. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing, maintaining, and monitoring various types of accounting data.

Responsibilities:

• Handle data entry tasks related to audit data such as banking information, trial balances, payables, and aging.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and manage data entry tasks effectively.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate customer credit records.

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to accounting data.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on the data.

• Engage in the continuous learning and application of accounting principles.

• Participate in training initiatives to enhance knowledge of public audit functions.

• Contribute to the team's efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

• Maintain client relationships by providing excellent customer service.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Requirements • Possession of a University Degree in Accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with Data Entry is necessary

• Knowledge and understanding of Accounting Entries is essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

• Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation

• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
