Description
We are assisting an established boutique law firm based in Walnut Creek is seeking to add a litigation associate to their growing legal team! The ideal candidate has 5 or more years of experience in employment law on the plaintiff side, with experience going to trial in cases like wage & hour, wrongful termination and class action. Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough initial case evaluations and investigations.
• Develop and implement case strategies that align with the clients' specific goals and objectives.
• Draft litigation documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Act as the representative for clients throughout all stages of the civil litigation process.
• Conduct extensive legal research to support case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Prepare for and attend various legal proceedings such as depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Maintain regular interaction with clients, keeping them updated on the progress of their case.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in litigation, CA Barred
• Proficient in Employment Law and Employment Litigation, experience with class action is a plus
• Experience on plaintiff side
• Trial experience is plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
