Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in Laguna Beach, California. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the accounting team, manage staff, and represent the department to internal and external stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring all financial reports and departments adhere to generally accepted accounting principles and comply with all local, state, and federal government reporting/tax processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting and contracts team, ensuring all finance activities are delivered as per contract requirements

• Stay updated on non-profit audit best practices and state and federal law regarding non-profit operations

• Ensure all financial reports and departments follow generally accepted accounting principles and all local, state, and federal government reporting/tax processes

• Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and oversee quarterly budget performance reports

• Guarantee audit compliance throughout the year and work alongside the Director of Finance and external auditors on the annual audit

• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, training, and monitoring systems

• Cultivate relationships with staff that inspire and motivate and communicate openly with all internal stakeholders

• Utilize financial and accounting practices knowledge to drive department and organizational goals

• Lead a team effectively to accomplish departmental and organizational goals

• Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in all tasks

• Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise

• Utilize computer software competencies across Microsoft Office products and Quickbooks (or similar accounting software) to effectively manage tasks and responsibilities. Requirements • Proficiency in financial management software such as 3M and Adaptive Insights.

• Experience with Capital Expenditure (CapEx) is mandatory.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and ERP solutions is essential.

• Solid understanding of accounting functions and budget processes.

• Expertise in capital management and fund accounting is required.

• Familiarity with C-Suite operations.

• A strong background in finance, particularly in non-profit fund accounting.

• Experience in managing accounting functions, including budgeting and capital management.

• Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and contribute to strategic planning.

• Must possess strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and propose solutions.
