Robert Half Accounting Analyst in Lake Elmo, Minnesota

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a diligent Accounting Analyst to join our team in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. The successful candidate will be primarily involved in financial compliance, service fee billing processes, cash disbursement reconciliations, and compliance audits. This role is an excellent chance to enhance your skills in accounting functions, auditing, billing, and account reconciliation within a dynamic workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the monthly service fee billing process in a precise and timely manner to meet retailer and corporate accounting's expectations.

• Conduct daily reconciliation of cash disbursements to retailers and finance departments, ensuring accuracy.

• Investigate and follow up with tech teams, lenders, retailers, and accounting on differences to ensure disbursements are accurate.

• Validate data and maintain complex spreadsheets to ensure accurate and efficient work.

• Identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness in billing and reconciliation processes.

• Perform compliance-based audits to support the financial compliance management system.

• Collaborate with the Program Administrator and Compliance Manager to manage and support workloads.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to integrate and work with large data sets.

• Apply technical aspects of consumer finance and auditing quickly and efficiently.

• Leverage accounting software systems to streamline and automate processes.

Requirements

• Familiarity with various Accounting Functions is crucial.

• Experience in Auditing will be advantageous.

• Knowledge of Billing procedures is required.

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation is a key requirement.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is needed.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is beneficial.

• Experience with financial data analysis and reporting will be advantageous.

• A professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is preferred.
