Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant based in Lake Mary, Florida. This role primarily involves participating in the monthly closing process, recording financial transactions, and maintaining cash flow forecasts in line with our telecom provider industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the monthly closing process for assigned tasks including preparation of monthly journal entries, general ledger postings, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Record financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of general ledger accounts related to payroll, ensuring accurate job costing reports.

• Maintain ongoing cash flow forecasts and identify potential concerns.

• Prepare detailed account analysis as required.

• Timely entry of employee time, subcontractor costs, and credit card expenses for job profitability.

• Ensure timely reporting of employee time, subcontractor costs, and credit card expenses.

• Create and maintain procedures for all accounting functions including AP, AR, Cash Management, and month-end close.

Requirements

• The candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.

• Degree in Accounting

• Experience in construction projects accounting is highly desired

• The candidate must have the ability to create and analyze cash flow forecasts.

• Proficiency in cash flow analysis is essential.

• A professional accounting certification is preferred.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary.

• The candidate should be well-versed in using accounting software and other related IT systems.

• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial.

• The candidate is expected to have excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting practices is a must.

• The candidate should have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
