Robert Half International PC Technician in LANCASTER, Pennsylvania

Description Robert Half Technology is looking for a PC Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues. If you are a self-starter and enjoy solving problems and working in a positive, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you! For the long-term temporary PC Technician role, you will be positioned in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, area.

How you will make an impact

  • Image and prepare new computers

  • Track equipment inventory, and suggest and assist with purchases

  • Install printers, troubleshoot and handle repairs

  • Dismantle, box and ship outdated equipment

  • Support functionality testing and end users

  • Ensure that ticket submitters receive frequent and effective communication

  • Document all daily data communication transactions, issues and solutions or installations

  • Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards

  • Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

  • Manage and execute technology implementation projects

  • Service a variety of computer hardware, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and refurbishing PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment

  • Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

  • Take down, box, move and set up/install on site Requirements - Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

    • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

    • Microsoft Windows 7 in an Active Directory environment experience

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10

    • Microsoft Windows experience

    • Ticketing System experience preferred

    • 1 - 3 years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

    • Desired skills include an understanding of networking such as switching and routing

    • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

    • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent preferred
