Robert Half is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

  • Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

  • Other projects as necessary

Requirements - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • This position requires financial reporting systems proficiency

  • A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

  • Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

  • Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

  • Efficient in ERP systems

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

  • Expertise in Adobe Spark

  • Deep understanding of Excel Formulas

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
