Description We are in the process of expanding our team in LANSDALE, Pennsylvania, United States, and have an opening for a Software Engineer. This role involves working in the heavy manufacturing industry, where you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and running software applications. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications with a focus on a Windows PC based platform using C# and .NET frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional, Agile teams to ensure best practices in development, security, and design.
• Adapt solutions to meet customer needs and improve operational effectiveness.
• Identify problem areas in code and suggest solutions on how to tackle them.
• Evaluate and recommend technology choices while considering scalability, performance, maintenance, and security.
• Engage in the digital transformation of the organization by developing digital customer experiences.
• Work across cultures to collaborate with other developers.
• Highlight issues and opportunities, and strive for continuous improvement.
• Use advanced fluency in English to communicate effectively with management and programmers.
• Employ working knowledge of MS Office and Azure DevOps.
• Leverage your experience in Windows PC based application development and MS SQL Server or similar DBMS.
• Contribute positively to the team through collaboration with team members. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in software development languages, specifically C# - Sharp, C++, and .NET.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a software engineering role, preferably in the Heavy Manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement functional software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with software development methodologies and life cycle.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality control processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
