Robert Half Assistant Benefits Manager in Lansing, Michigan

Description

We are looking for an Assistant Benefits Manager to join our team based in Lansing, Michigan. The role is primarily focused on the non-profit industry and involves a range of responsibilities, from managing benefits and accounting software systems to handling ADP Workforce tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage benefits functions within the organization, ensuring operations run smoothly and effectively.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to maintain accurate records and data regarding employee benefits.

• Handle tasks related to ADP Workforce Now, managing HR operations and ensuring efficient workforce management.

• Administer 401k - Administration, managing retirement benefits for employees.

• Oversee Claim Administration, ensuring all claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

• Manage Cobra Administration, providing support for continuation of health coverage benefits.

• Handle tasks related to Defined Benefit Plan, managing pension plans for employees.

• Use Ceridian for HR and payroll management, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure all processes related to benefits administration run smoothly.

• Continuously review and update processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in benefits administration.

Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector

• Knowledge and experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Familiarity with Claim Administration

• Experience in Cobra Administration

• Knowledge of Defined Benefit Plan

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
