Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Lansing, Michigan. The role functions as a Billing Clerk and involves managing accounts receivable, cash posting, and cash management.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process billing information and maintain records

• Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments

• Perform cash posting tasks to update and maintain financial records

• Implement cash management strategies to optimize efficiency

• Resolve any billing issues and handle customer inquiries related to billing

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions for delinquent payments

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation of the billing process

• Adhere to all company procedures and regulations as related to billing

• Develop and implement improvements to the billing process.

Requirements • Proficiency in billing procedures and understanding of accounts receivable (AR) operations is essential.

• Experience with cash posting is necessary to ensure accurate financial records.

• Ability to handle cash management tasks effectively, including tracking and analyzing cash transactions.

• Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in the use of computer software applications, particularly accounting and spreadsheet programs.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the transport industry.

• Prior experience in a similar role within the transport sector would be advantageous.
