Robert Half Human Resources Recruiting Manager in Lansing, Michigan

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a skilled Human Resources (HR) Manager located in Lansing, Michigan. This role will primarily focus on a variety of HR-related duties, including benefits administration, compliance oversight, employee relations, and hiring processes.

Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all aspects of benefit functions within the organization • Administer and monitor compensation plans to ensure compliance with organizational policies • Handle employee relations issues, providing necessary mediation and conflict resolution • Execute corporate recruiting strategies and participate in the hiring process • Deliver excellent customer service when dealing with employee inquiries and concerns • Conduct background checks in accordance with employment law • Develop and administer benefit packages to attract and retain employees • Coordinate and conduct new permanent orientations to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives • Stay updated with the latest employment law changes to ensure organizational compliance • Implement and manage hiring processes to ensure seamless operations. Requirements • Proven experience in managing and executing HR functions, such as Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration.

• Demonstrable knowledge of Compliance and Employee Relations within the education industry.

• Previous experience in Corporate Recruiting within a university setting is essential.

• Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

• Experience in overseeing Hiring Processes, from advertising vacancies to finalizing contracts.

• Familiarity with conducting Background Checks for potential employees.

• Extensive knowledge of Employment Law, particularly as it pertains to the education sector.

• Experience in creating and managing Benefit Packages for employees.

• Proven ability to conduct New permanent Orientations effectively and efficiently.

• A degree in Human Resources or related field is highly desirable.
