Robert Half Property Accountant in Lansing, Michigan

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Property Accountant in Lansing, Michigan. This role involves administrative data entry and commercial lease processing functions within the commercial real estate industry. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and will be detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough.

Responsibilities:

• Processing of leases ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Communicating effectively with future and existing tenants regarding leasing and procedures

• Maintaining strong attention to detail while processing cash receipts

• Verifying information on lease and accurately inputting it into database

• Routing all leases for approval and creating new lease files

• Scanning in and saving all leases, extensions, and addendums to the server

• Accurately auditing tenant ledgers

• Mailing out monthly delinquency letters, NSF letters, CPI Increase letters, Scheduled Increase letters, and Open Credit letters

• Mailing out monthly rent invoices and other invoices as necessary

• Updating janitorial company with tenant move in and move out information.

Requirements • Proficiency in Property Accounting

• Experience in Commercial Property Management

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Contract Administration tasks

• Familiarity with Commercial Contracts

• Experience in Contract Negotiations

• Understanding of Contract Pricing

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Relevant certification such as CPA is a plus.
